Who We Are and Why Heart 4 Children Ministries Exists!

Disaster relief is an integral part of our mission. However, it is not the only part. When Heart 4 Children Ministries was founded in 2010, our original mission was to help abused children with self esteem. We planned at that time to teach them to crochet letting them see that they can create something of their very own. We hoped in time they would want to make things for other children. But God had other plans for His Ministry!

Disaster relief for children who lived through natural disasters was added in May 2011 after the tornadoes hit in Alabama and many other states. We went to Alabama to help out after helping in OK first. Then we went to Joplin, MO to help out.

Next in 2012 we began helping with children who were put into emergency foster care as well as children who were disadvantaged by other situations. We also helped children during that year and this year who lost their possessions due to fire both wildfires and house fires.

Then in 2013 we added helping victims of domestic violence to what we do. Whenever we help it’s with toys, clothes, shoes, books as well as diapers and other needed baby items.

We don’t know what God may have us Wherever God leads us we will follow, after all it is His Ministry!¬†For those who want to know more, here is a link to our Mission Statement¬†http://www.heart4childrenministries.org/?page_id=81

About Mikaela

If being goofy yet loving the Lord with your whole heart is you then we'll be great friends! I also like dressing up like a clown, and having fun with kids as after all it fits my personality! I love Jesus and He is my Lord and Savior. I have been happily married to Russell Hulstine since 1977. We have 3 children and 5 GRAND children. I love to read and play with my grandchildren. I was lead to start Heart 4 Children Ministries a 501 (C) (3) and love being able to help children smile again who have been through rough situations like abuse and tornadoes. Many time my husband (and our dog, Coko "The Disaster Relief Dog"), accompany me on Disaster Relief trips especially when they are in Oklahoma.
