We Remember the April 26, 1991 Tornadoes in OK and KS

Oologah tornado damage 1991

Tornado damage from Oolagah, OK tornado 4.26.91

On this day in 1991 my husband, Russell Hulstine, was at the Copan Handi Mart that night…he ran inside to warn a woman working there that the tornado was almost there…then he headed to Oolagah, OK…

His cousins who lived in a mobile home in Andover, KS got out in time, thank the Lord, before a tornado leveled the mobile home Park of 300. Scary day. Thankful Russell wasn’t killed  in Copan as the tornado hit the Copan Hand Mart while he was still in the parking lot!!!

Severe weather in the forecast again–must be Spring!

today's weather

Oh yay I just saw tonight’s forecast for most of the state of OK including my town–Bartlesville–more severe weather could be in store for us. Thankfully the severe threat is low with only a chance of an isolated tornado. But…you knew there was going to a but, didn’t you? There was only an isolated chance of a tornado on March 30th. In fact, that tornado had looked like it was falling apart and then reformed. So for those of us in the yellow area–most of the state (including Bartlesville where I live) please join me in prayer that this will NOT be a repeat of March 30th. Lord Jesus please prepare Your angel army to go to and be with everyone in the path of these storms. Especially calm parents and guardians so they don’t frighten their children. In Your Mighty name and for your glory amen. ~Mikaela & The Heart 4 Children Ministries Team
